Meghan Markle claimed in her tell-all interview that Kate Middleton made her cry.
Kate Middleton appears to have no plans to respond to Meghan Markle’s recent claims about her. Alongside the rest of the British Royal Family, the Duchess of Cambridge remains silent about the Sussexes’ controversial tell-all earlier this month.
Instead, the future Queen Consort has seemingly focused on her various projects these past few weeks. On Sunday, she promoted her “Hold Still” project using various social media channels.
While many people praised and congratulated her on several platforms, the Daily Express reported that she also received a few criticisms. As claimed, these critics are supporters of Meghan Markle.
Kate Middleton received criticisms
It remains unclear as to how the publication discovered they are the Duchess of Sussex’s fans and followers. But, it makes sense to assume that they are supporters, considering the content of their negative comments.
The publication said that the criticisms mainly referenced Meghan Markle, especially her claims about the Duchess of Cambridge. Some netizens urged Prince William’s wife to look back on how she “treated” her only sister-in-law.
Others even asked about her “kindness” toward the Duchess of Sussex. As for other netizens, they deemed her “self-absorbed,” adding that it is “painful” to see.
When we look back at the COVID-19 pandemic in decades to come, we will think of the challenges we all faced – the loved ones we lost, the extended isolation from our families and friends and the strain placed on our key workers. (1/3) pic.twitter.com/NPHSnglDE4

Meghan Markle’s claims during her interview with Oprah
The surge of negative comments came weeks after Meghan Markle told Oprah about her side of the story. She discussed the issue of her making Kate Middleton cry and clarified that it was the other way around.
The Duchess of Sussex stated that it was her sister-in-law who made her cry days before her wedding. But, she did not dwell on the details as to what exactly happened. The former working royal noted, however, the Duchess of Cambridge apologized to her.
About the Hold Still project
Despite the developing debacle among the British Royals, the future Queen Consort appears to continue with her dedication and commitment to the British Monarchy. Town & Country said that she launched the “Hold Still” project last year, during the early months of the pandemic.

In collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery, she aims to “encourage” the British public to document their respective experiences amid the lockdown. Nearly a year later, the project has now turned into a photobook, which carries the title Hold Still: A Portrait of Our Nation in 2020.
It will feature 100 portraits from the entire project, alongside the accompanying stories of the images. It will also have a foreword from Kate Middleton.
