Kate Middleton and Prince William are tasked to “revive some of the dazzle” for the royal family, according to a report.
Kate Middleton and Prince William are next to the throne after Prince Charles. However, many are banking on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s leadership compared to the Prince of Wales and their task is not easy.
Kate Middleton and Prince Willia have to bring the lost magic?
Royal commentator Daniela Elser pointed out the changes in the royal family amid the pandemic. According to Elser, Prince William and Kate Middleton are in an uphill battle practically and image-wise.
Both are three decades younger than the average age of a working senior royal. She pointed out that “thrill” is gone within the firm and it was “dramatically exacerbated” by the coronavirus pandemic.
Also, there are no more state dinners and glitzy tours. Those things were replaced by Zoom calls.
“The magic is gone,” Elser wrote per Express.
For her, it’s “very dangerous” for the palace because the royals are funded by the people. She believed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had to repair the Firm while they wait for their turn to lead the monarchy.
“This is all even worse news for William and Kate because it will largely fall on their Marks and Spencer-clad shoulders to have to try and find a way to fix this looming disaster and revive some of the dazzle,” Elser continued.
She also believed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s absence is a loss for the royal family. According to Elser, Markle was the most electrifying hire after Princess Diana. The Duchess of Sussex had a “vivifying force” to energize the royal brand. But that too was gone after the Sussexes stepped down from their royal duties.
Cambridges have always delivered
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s popularity in the U.K. have since dropped after they stepped down. Prince William and Kate Middleton have continued doing their royal duties and the people have been supportive of them.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently graced the Earthshot Prize ceremony. The couple received praises for their attendance at the event which the duke founded.
Middleton was stunning in her recycled lilac gown by Alexander McQueen. She first wore it in 2011. Many were impressed that it still fits her after a decade and after welcoming three kids. Meanwhile, many said they wanted Prince William to be the next James Bond after seeing him in his green velvet tuxedo.
The Cambridges also received praises when they appeared in the No Time to Die premiere. Middleton dazzled that night in her sequined, gold Jenny Packham dress. According to royal experts, Middleton’s stunning appearance was allegedly difficult for Markle because the latter felt she was being upstaged.
