Kate Middleton will age faster than her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, who is older than her.
Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are often compared against each other from their fashion choices to their royal engagements. Between the two, Prince Harry’s wife will age more gracefully.
Kate Middleton vs. Meghan Markle aging
Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are close in terms of their age. The Duchess of Sussex and Duchess of Cambridge are both 38 years old.
However, the former actress will be turning 39 in August because she is older than the future queen.
“Kate and Meghan have grown up in an era where girls were taught at an early age to look after their skin by taking regular facials and protecting it from the elements with SPF and makeup. It shows – they both have beautiful complexions which are dewy and youthful,” Stuart Miles, an anti-aging expert, told HELLO!.
To maintain their youthful looks, Middleton uses rosehip oil. Meanwhile, Markle opts for a primer rather than a foundation for a dewy look.
Between the two, Miles predicted that Markle will age more gracefully than Middleton due to their type of skin.
“She [Markle] has the most amazing skin which will age really well. It has natural oils and a natural olive tone which will provide protection but also keep her looking glowing,” Miles explained.
“Kate has the English rose complexion but needs to be careful and protect her delicate skin as she ages.”
Markle received favor from Queen Elizabeth
Meghan Markle didn’t wait too long to score a solo outing with Queen Elizabeth II. Just weeks after she married Prince Harry, she accompanied the Queen to Chester.
The Queen officially opened the Mersey Gateway Bridge and Chester’s Storyhouse Theatre. Markle was there, and she also received an extra special honor of joining the monarch on her private train.
On the other hand, Kate Middleton waited for over a year to step out with the Queen. Moreover, she waited for another seven years to score another solo engagement with Her Majesty.
Markle wants to escape Middleton’s shadow
Meghan Markle seemed to adjust well with her royal life. However, according to royal expert Katie Nicholl, she only made it appear so easy, but it was not.
It was apparent on her ITV interview after her South Africa trip that Markle wasn’t happy. In the interview, she got candid and opened up about her struggles from the constant media scrutiny.
Earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they were stepping back as senior members of the royal family. According to Victoria Mather, Vanity Fair’s royal watcher, Markle quit the royal life to be free from Middleton’s shadow.
Markle reportedly didn’t want to “spend the rest of her life looking at Kate Middleton’s back as she sat in the second row to the future queen.”
