WandaVision actress Kathryn Hahn, who plays a “nosy neighbor” Agnes in the MCU show, hopes to return for Sony’s Into the Spider-Verse 2.
According to Comicbook, Kathryn Hahn just revealed that she “would love” to return for Sony’s animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 movie. In a recent interview with Collider, she expressed her excitement over the sequel to 2018’s blockbuster film.
When asked about whether she’s in the movie or not, she said:
“Not that I’ve heard, but I would love to. But not that I’ve heard. Who knows? [The first one] is amazing. I’m so proud of that thing.”
What’s the role of Kathryn Hahn in Spider-Verse?
Speaking of her role, she voices an inflatable armed-supervillain and scientist Olivia Octavius. In simple words, she’s an alternate universe, Doctor Octavius. In 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, she appeared to die in the final battle with many Spider-Men from the multiverse. She had worked with Kingpin to create a Super-Collider having the ability to access multiple dimensions. The device was meant to allow the crime lord to reunite with his dead wife and son.
Coming back to Kathryn Hahn, she is currently playing an exciting role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s WandaVision.
Hahn’s role in the MCU ahead
Although it’s just a start for the actress, it seems like WandaVision won’t be the only MCU property she will be involved in. Because its a known fact that Marvel Studios always keeps things interconnected. So it might happen that Kathryn Hahn will appear in some other future TV series, or even in a movie as well!
There’s no proper explanation for this right now, but it looks like the actress’s MCU journey will go on for a considerable period. The first phase four title has just begun streaming, so there’s a lot to be revealed.
Meanwhile, the future of the franchise is already packed tightly with upcoming projects. More TV shows are on their way in the next two years. Some of them include Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Secret Invasion, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Ironheart, Armor Wars, Moon Knight, and Hawkeye.
On the side of movies also, the MCU line-up looks promising. Fans are waiting for Black Widow, Shang-Chi, Eternals, Spider-Man 3, and Thor: Love and Thunder. Then there’s the Black Panther sequel, Doctor Strange 2, Captain Marvel 2, Blade, and the debut of X-Men and Fantastic Four films. Deadpool 3 and Avengers 5 are yet to be announced officially, but they will be absolutely huge when fans eventually witness them in theaters.
Disney Plus currently hosts all the new MCU content coming from the studio, starting this year.
