Keanu Reeves is, reportedly, engaged and finally settling down with Alexandra Grant after years of being together.
The actor has always been one of the most eligible bachelors in Hollywood. But last year, he was revealed to be in a relationship with the 47-year-old American visual artist.
The couple made their relationship public after appearing together and walking hand in hand on the red carpet of the LACMA Art + Film Gala. The event took place in Los Angeles in November 2019.
Finding love again and becoming engaged to someone new
According to a report that appeared on OK! magazine, Keanu Reeves is ready to settle after finally finding someone to love again.
“Nineteen years after losing his soulmate, Keanu Reeves has found love again,” the insider supposedly told the outlet. “He slowly started to become this person with a permanent smile on his face after years of seeming to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders.”
It was added that Grant has healed the 55-year-old John Wick actor’s heart and taught him how to love again. It can be recalled that the actor has a sad love life.
His girlfriend, Jennifer Syme, gave birth to their stillborn child in 1999 but they broke up a few weeks after. In 2001, Syme died in a car accident and it took seven years before Keanu Reeves started dating again.
He was in a relationship with China Chow, an English-born American actress, but their romance ended quickly. After 11 years, Reeves finally found Alexandra Grant and they are rumored to be engaged now.
It was said that it did not take long for Reeves to commit because he decided that it is time for him to give it a shot. The source shared that the pair are planning to get married in Europe and they want a simple backyard wedding.
Debunking Keanu Reeve’s engagement rumor
Then again, it seems that this report is not true. Gossip Cop debunks the claims that the actor has proposed to his girlfriend already.
The publication also pointed out that OK! magazine did produce any hard evidence that will prove its allegations. It was said that the magazine’s only “proof” is Alexandra Grant’s picture where she was supposedly wearing her engagement ring.
While the photo really exists, it cannot be proven that what she’s wearing is an engagement ring. Finally, the gossip police reached out to Keanu Reeves’ representative to directly know the truth and were told that the engagement article is baseless and totally untrue.
