Keanu Reeves has, allegedly, proposed to his girlfriend, Alexandra Grant.
According to OK! magazine, Keanu Reeves proposed to Grant while having dinner at a Los Angeles restaurant last month.
However, the tabloid was unable to provide concrete proof of the couple’s engagement like a ring. They simply said that Reeves and Grant looked very happy during their outing and it could be because the actor already proposed.
“They were enjoying a lovely little dinner when Keanu popped the question over champagne,” the source said.
Grant was, allegedly, shocked, but she immediately said yes to Reeves.
Keanu Reeves engagement details revealed
The insider also claimed to know all the details from the proposal but failed to provide even just one photo from the alleged special night.
“Keanu organized everything from the reservation to getting their favorite table. And he even recited a poem he had written especially for Alexandra. It’s clear he put a lot of effort into everything. It was incredibly romantic,” the source said.
Keanu Reeves, Alexandra Grant planning surprise wedding
Shortly after their engagement, Reeves and Grant immediately started planning their highly-anticipated wedding.
“The ceremony will likely take place in front of a small group of close friends and family members in an intimate outdoor ceremony in Malibu. Keanu wants to do something special for Alexandra’s 48th birthday in early April, so he’s going to rent a mansion right on the ocean. There will be around 14 guests, who will be safe and compliant with all Covid regulations. And when everyone’s busy enjoying their cocktails in the backyard, there will be an announcement that the party is doubling as a wedding,” the source said.
Rumors debunked
But as elaborate as the rumored plans are, they’re nothing more than that. Keanu Reeves hasn’t proposed to Grant. In fact, the actor previously said that marriage isn’t for him.
He also told Esquire that he won’t have any kids because it’s just too late for him.
“It’s too late. It’s over. I’m 52. I’m not going to have any kids. Aging. I’m just starting to get better at it. Just the amount of stuff you have to do before you’re dead. It’s just, ‘Oh my God. OK. Where did the time go? How come things are changing? How much time do I have left? What didn’t I do?’” Keanu Reeves said.
