Kelly Clarkson at odds with Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani because ex-husband’s dad?

Kelly Clarkson may, allegedly, be forced to end her friendship with Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani because they are still represented by her ex-husband’s dad, Narvel Blackstock.

According to National Enquirer, Kelly Clarkson has become very close to Shelton and Stefani since they all worked together in The Voice.

However, their close relationship might be the collateral damage in Clarkson’s ongoing legal battle against her ex-husband and former father-in-law’s company, Starstruck Entertainment.

“Blake and Gwen love Kelly, but they’re still represented by Narvel and Brandon. Gwen has become like an older sister to Kelly since she joined the show. With the divorce and all this legal action between Kelly and the Blackstocks, they are in a tough and awkward spot. They want to stay friends with all of them, but things have gotten so bitter. Blake and Gwen are caught in the middle,” the source said.

Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband is suing him for $1.4 million

Clarkson, reportedly, filed a counter lawsuit against the Blackstock’s after they claimed that she owes their company $1.4 million.

But the American Idol winner and her lawyer fired back by saying that Clarkson doesn’t owe them a single dime.

After all, Kelly Clarkson is accusing Starstruck Entertainment of violating the California Labor Code by securing gigs for her without obtaining a talent agency license first.

“Kelly is pulling no punches. She was deeply wounded when they sued her because she made so much money for them. Now, she’s playing hardball!” the source said.

Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock last summer amid claims of cheating and other issues. However, the singer has stayed mum on what really happened between her and her ex-husband.

Kelly Clarkson hints at the reason behind her divorce?

But during a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, she seemingly revealed a possible reason for their divorce.

“My mom has been telling me since I was a kid: You are who you surround yourself with. You want to make sure you’re surrounded by people that also want to be the best versions of themselves and also want a good common goal for everyone, not just themselves, right? People, like, could be bad for you at a certain time. And I think that everybody just goes, ‘Oh, well that means they’re bad.’ Well, it doesn’t necessarily mean that, it just means that you’re on different paths. And I think that that’s OK… Everybody’s on a different learning curve and everyone’s learning something different at a different time,” Kelly Clarkson said.
