Kelly Clarkson is, allegedly, OK with taking a loss from her Nashville property if it means finally getting rid of all her ex-husband’s memories.
According to National Enquirer, Kelly Clarkson put her Nashville mansion on the market for $8.75 million in 2017. But when she failed to sell it after four years, the singer decided to lower its asking price to $6.3 million.
Now, a source for the tabloid is claiming that the decision to lower the asking price on the property was done strategically. After all, Clarkson is more focused on getting rid of all of Brandon Blackstock’s memories over making money.
“Kelly wanted to make a clean break, even though she left millions on the table. That house was an albatross for Kelly, too many memories of a marriage gone bad,” the source said.
Kelly Clarkson desperate to move on from Brandon Blackstock
The insider also added that Clarkson wants nothing more than to be able to move on from Blackstock. However, the latter’s recent demands are making it impossible for them to reach an agreement.
Blackstock is, reportedly, asking Clarkson for a huge settlement, but the American Idol alum refuses to give her ex-husband a single cent.
“The fight against Brandon and his dad is more on principle. She feels Brandon sponged off her throughout their marriage. And she doesn’t owe him a dime,” the source said.
While it is true that Kelly Clarkson dropped the asking price for her Nashville mansion, this decision may not have anything to do with Blackstock or their divorce.
Kelly Clarkson given primary custody of her children
After all, Clarkson has not said anything about her ex-husband. So, it is obvious that the tabloid is just speculating on the possibility.
Clarkson isn’t also struggling to move on from Blackstock. It is important to note that the talk show host announced her divorce from her ex-husband over a year ago.
The “Piece by Piece” singer is focused on raising her two children after the court granted Kelly Clarkson primary physical custody of River Rose and Remington Alexander.
