According to National Enquirer, even though it’s almost a year since Kelly Clarkson filed for divorce, she’s still seeking comfort from her friends.
One of the people she has, allegedly, turned to is Reba McEntire, who also happens to be her former mother-in-law. Since McEntire has had her fair share of heartbreaks, she could, allegedly, relate to Clarkson.
Additionally, McEntire no longer has an amicable relationship with Blackstock’s dad, Narvel Blackstock, who previously served as Clarkson’s manager.
“Reba knows all too well how petty and conniving Narvel and Brandon can be. And her heart goes out to Kelly. [Kelly] admits to Reba there are times when she just wants to run away and hide. Reba tells her, ‘Honey, come and run away to me, then!’ It means the world to Kelly to have Reba in her corner,” the source said.
According to the tabloid, the Blackstocks have been suggesting that Clarkson used their connections to help her land a coaching gig on The Voice and her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show.
However, the American Idol winner has been adamant at saying that this isn’t the case. And Kelly Clarkson is, allegedly, fighting back with McEntire’s help.
“Reba learned the hard way the pitfalls of mixing business with family life. She’s trying to help Kelly. She hates to see another woman suffer at the hands of a Blackstock,” the source said.
This isn’t the first time that McEntire is rumored to have been helping Clarkson amid her divorce.
Last October, the same tabloid claimed that the award-winning singer has been leaning on McEntire.
“Reba’s been a rock. Brandon could come out looking like a user and a loser,” the source said.
As of late, McEntire has not directly released a statement about Clarkson and Brandon’s divorce. Everything that’s being said about her is coming from unnamed sources.
It is also unclear if Kelly Clarkson is really close to McEntire as what the tabloid is suggesting.
