Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock’s divorce is, allegedly, starting to get nasty.
Months after Kelly Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock, the singer said that she wants to keep the details of their split private. However, it seems that Blackstock has other plans.
Brandon Blackstock wants Kelly Clarkson to pay his dad’s company
According to National Enquirer, Clarkson was shocked when she found out that Blackstock is demanding $1.4 million from her. Blackstock, allegedly, claimed that Clarkson owes the huge sum to Starstruck Management Group.
“Kelly is outraged Brandon has sunk so low as to demand millions from her in a separate suit. She’s working so hard, juggling so many responsibilities, and raising two kids,” the source said.
Kelly Clarkson struggling to keep her divorce private
The tabloid also preyed on Clarkson’s previous revelation that she’s been suffering from anxiety after announcing her divorce. They said that the situation just became much worse for the singer.
And her desire to keep her divorce proceedings private could be threatened because of what Blackstock did.
“They had a truce. She and Brandon would work things out privately and confidentially between them for the sake of the kids. But it appears his ear’s been twisted by his dad, Narvel. And this means all-out war. The gloves are off now and Kelly’s sparing no legal expense to fight anything Brandon throws at her. She’ll do all she can to protect her reputation. They’ve told her to brace herself because it’s going to get ugly,” the source said.
Reba McEntire supports the singer
The tabloid also claimed that Blackstock would do everything that he can to inflict low blows on Clarkson. But the American Idol winner is also, allegedly, ready to fight back with information that could damage her ex-husband.
And one of the people who could be supporting Clarkson in her court battle is Blackstock’s former stepmom, Reba McEntire.
“Reba’s been a rock. Brandon could come out looking like a user and a loser,” the tabloid concluded.
Rumors debunked
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. National Enquirer is the only one reporting about Blackstock, allegedly, demanding $1.4 million from Clarkson. This means that their claims must have been made up.
And since Blackstock isn’t demanding Clarkson to pay such a huge amount, there’s no basis to say that they are heading for a nasty divorce. The exes have still maintained their silence over their divorce.
Kelly Clarkson previously said that she’s staying silent about the issue for the sake of her two children and two stepchildren.
