Wednesday turned out to be crucial as Kevin Feige gave many updates on future MCU projects like She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel.
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige took a lot of questions during the Disney+ Television Critics Association panel. Although he prevented himself from spoiling anything, he did provide key updates on MCU shows like She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel.
He also talked about WandaVision and its direct impact on the upcoming Doctor Strange 2 movie.
What’s going on with “She-Hulk” and other titles?
Starting with the announced projects, Feige revealed that Disney Plus shows like Moon Knight and She-Hulk will soon begin shooting. They both are expected to go into production in the next month.
Speaking of Ms. Marvel, he said that it’s going to be finished soon. Another title, Hawkeye, is currently filming with Jeremy Renner reprising his role of Clint Barton. Hailee Steinfeld will portray Kate Bishop.
Kevin Feige also talked about developing multi-season shows depending on their connection with feature films. However, he didn’t reveal the names.
“Some of the shows that I mentioned that we’re about to start filming, we are keeping in mind a structure that would lead into a season two and a season three in a more direct way, than, say, a show like WandaVision, which goes into a feature, but it is new.”
Apart from She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Hawkeye, he also discussed the Netflix characters who are now back to Marvel.
He left things open as far as including the characters from Netflix’s Agents of SHIELD and Daredevil is concerned. But he acknowledged the fanbase of them.
Talking about WandaVision, he said that there might be plans for its second season. Because the MCU is connected in terms of features and TV series, so one thing from shows will jump into the other in movies. In a way, there will be continuity.
Giving the example of Ms. Marvel, he explained:
“We’ve announced that Ms. Marvel, after her debut on Disney+, will be going into the second Captain Marvel film, but sometimes, and yet to be announced, we are thinking of and planning second seasons for some of the upcoming series.”
MCU projects in the coming future
The future line-up is packed with a lot of stuff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This year itself is going to offer some big installments.
The following month will reveal the new Disney Plus TV show Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Another TV show to arrive in 2021 is Loki, which is set to be released in June. Then there will be movies coming up one after the other.
Black Widow, Shang-Chi, and Eternals are highly-awaited films among the fans right now. But due to the COVID-19 situation, there has been a long delay already.
Moving further, the end of the year will see the arrival of the third Spider-Man movie in the MCU. Its official title was just revealed, which is Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Going beyond 2021, the coming year will be huge since it will offer endless entertainment in TV series and films. Among its most-awaited releases will be Thor 4, Captain Marvel 2, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel.
