Just a few days before the arrival of WandaVision, Kevin Feige has revealed that the upcoming series is an extreme version of the MCU!
According to Comicbook, Marvel boss Kevin Feige recently talked to Deadline while promoting WandaVision. And in the interaction, he said that the series is an extreme version of the MCU.
The show premieres on Disney Plus service on Friday. It will also be first the installment in Phase four.
“WandaVision”: What to expect from the Disney+ show?
Coming back to what Mr. Feige said about the upcoming Marvel TV show, he called it very different from what the MCU has witnessed.
There was an emphasis on the growth and areas where the studios had gone since its beginning in 2008. Kevin Feige gave the example of various entries and how they showcased many different kinds of stories.
He said that WandaVision “was just an extreme version of that and doing it in a way that will have answers and will take the confusion, or the oddity or avant-garde nature of it and begin to put into the piece, as each episode is unveiled week by week.”
In the interview, he also focused on taking risks and providing Marvel Studios a great success. And the Disney Plus show is a result of that only. He also praised the leading actors of the show, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany.
“And we had great confidence in those two actors playing those two characters and that they could absolutely pull it off.”
There was a mention of commercials that have become quite famous by now since the show’s trailer dropped three months ago. Feige said that a normal viewer watching these ads would see them as a strange version of the 50s and 60s. But those who are MCU fans and familiar with the movies will find many connections from the past.
More Marvel content is coming this year!
Meanwhile, there’s a lot of MCU content arriving in 2021, and there won’t an end to this in coming years as well. Die-hard followers of the franchise are waiting since 2019 to witness new projects. And their wait will finally end starting from this month itself.
Moving further, in March, Falcon and the Winter Soldier will arrive on Disney’s streaming portal. On the side of movies, there’s Black Widow, Shang-Chi, Eternals, and lastly, Spider-Man 3. The latter is also one of the highly-awaited films in Phase four, due to rumors of a big crossover of old and iconic characters.
Coming back to WandaVision, the Disney Plus series starts streaming from Jan. 15th.
