Key by Amazon is now available in more than 5,000 cities after receiving positive feedback.
Key by Amazon launched the in-garage grocery services in just five cities.
It was introduced as a pilot program in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. As of now, Key is delivering in more than 5000 cities and towns across the US.
With this, Amazon is making its in-garage grocery delivery an option for all its customers.
It was formerly known as Amazon Key. Key gives a different privilege to its prime subscribers.
The privilege associates with compatible smart locks. These locks will help in receiving the grocery package inside the garage.
Key by Amazon, a different technological evolution
Customers opting for the Prime subscription will give temporary access to the delivery person.
Eventually, the delivery guy will open the smart lock, drop the groceries off inside the house, and lock it again after delivering.
Consequently, the groceries will get lock inside the house without any issue.
Previously, in-house delivery was available before in more than 4,000 cities. Now, modification in services has led to in-garage grocery delivery.

The green light given to in-garage delivery will facilitate safe and secured grocery delivery in COVID-19.
In a statement, the head of Key, Pete Gerstberger, mentions that customers are happy with the services.

What other prerequisites are required?
Key by Amazon’s in-garage delivery services is available at no additional cost for all the Amazon Prime subscribers.
MyQ Smart Garage from Chamberlain is the only garage opener compatible device.
This smart garage opener device costs around $30. Along with this, the customers are required to use the Key by Amazon application.
It will help in accessing and managing the grocery deliveries inside the garage.
In addition to all these privileges, customers can also look over the delivery. For this, they will only require Liftmaster Smart Garage Camera.
MyQ, a video storage subscription, is also necessary with its installation. One can even use a Ring smart home camera with a video storage subscription of Ring Protect Plan.
The in-garage grocery delivery services will surely prove more effective during this pandemic as the contactless approach is taken into concern.
