It’s been years since the original Sex and the City aired, but the tensions between its lead stars, Kim Cattrall, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis can still be felt.
According to OK! magazine, Kim Cattrall is struggling to forgive her co-stars because she’s still hurt and bitter over how they treated her backstage.
When the cameras weren’t rolling, Parker, Nixon, and Davis would usually hang out with each other, and they would also leave Cattrall out of their plans.
“Sarah would ask Kristin and Cynthia to lunch and they’d leave Kim behind. And when she hosted a big party at the end of the first season, she mysteriously forgot to invite Kim. Kim felt totally cast off and alone because none of the other women stuck up for her,” the source said.
Kim Cattrall still upset with Sarah Jessica Parker
But what made things worse was how Parker would always act as though she and Cattrall are best friends when they’re out promoting the show together.
So, when the cast decided to reunite for the Sex and the City reunion, And Just Like That… Cattrall decided to not take part in the project.
But the actress’s decision didn’t sit well with Parker, who couldn’t allegedly believe that Cattrall is still holding grudges after all these years.
Kim Cattrall doesn’t regret not joining the reboot
However, Cattrall couldn’t care less about what Parker and her other co-stars think because she knows she did the right thing.
“Kim says she’s got no regrets about not coming back. She wouldn’t wish all the mind games she endured on her worst enemy,” the source said.
Rumors debunked
Following the release of And Just Like That… Cattrall made headlines for liking some of the tweets and posts from fans that said they are boycotting the reboot.
Her supporters also said that the reboot is not the same because Cattrall is not there.
However, there’s no proof that the actress is still bitter because of her feud with Parker and her other co-stars. After all, it was her decision to not return to the show and it’s not because Parker, Nixon, and Davis made her feel left out.
