Kim Kardashian and her family are already filming their new show at Hulu just months after their long-time running show Keeping Up With the Kardashians aired its final season.
Kim Kardashian, her mom, Kris Jenner, and her siblings are not bidding goodby to the small screen for good. Even if KUWTK was already canceled, the family is set to return with a bang.
Kim Kardashian already filming the new show on Hulu
Kim Kardashian hinted that she and her family already working on their new show. She shared a snap of a microphone on her Instagram Story Thursday. She captioned it with “Day 1,” Hollywood Life reported.
Kardashian and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan confirmed earlier that they have a new show on Hulu. However, they did not disclose too much information about the project.
The “KUWTK” stars would “create global content” exclusively for the streamer. However, the new series’ title and premiere date remain top-secret.
What to expect in Kardashian-Jenner’s new show
During the Disney Upfronts in May, the KUWTK momager called their new show a new chapter.
“In the new show, you’ll see us evolving as a family,” Kris was quoted by HL as saying. “Fans want us to be who we are and since moment one, they’ve been emotionally invested in our show just like we are.”
Kris knew that fans love seeing their journey as a family. So, the new show will give that to their audience. However, it remains unknown if the format of the show will just be like Keeping Up With the Kardashians which ran for 20 seasons on E!
Jenner announced in December 2020 that the family has a multi-year partnership with Hulu and Star. They will return in 2021. According to the outlet, the family’s reality show might debut sometime later this year.
Why did they choose Hulu?
Kris Jenner called their move to Hulu and partnership with Disney a “no brainer.” She noted that the family is a huge fan of its reality show Bachelor and American Idol.
Kim Kardashian’s mom said Hulu is the “perfect place” for their new show. Also, it’s where their fans can catch up with every season of KUWTK. So, Hulu is not new to them and their fans, it’s a family. So, when they were offered a new show on Hulu, they immediately embraced the idea.
Kim will be busy in the coming days. The 40-year-old reality star is set to make her Saturday Night Live debut as a guest host in its 47th season which premieres on OCt. 2.
