Kim Kardashian finally broke her silence over Kanye West’s recent Twitter rants, revelations, and mental illness.
On her Instagram Stories, Kim Kardashian shared a lengthy statement about her husband, admitting what their family is going through is “incredibly complicated and painful.”
Instead of denying the accusations the rapper made against her, she talked about his mental illness and even complimented him.

The 39-year-old reality star revealed she never publicly spoke about how this issue affected her family at home. She wanted to protect their children and the rapper’s right to privacy, especially when it comes to his health.
But with the stigma and misconceptions about mental health, she decided to break her silence.
“Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behavior know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor,” she explained. “People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgemental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try.”
She continued that as a public figure, the 43-year-old singer-songwriter becomes subject to criticisms. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star knew his actions could “cause strong opinions and emotions” at times.
“He is a brilliant but complicated person who on top of the pressure of being an artist and a black man,” the KKW Beauty founder added.
She claimed it was a painful experience for West to lose his mother. He also has to deal with the “pressure and isolation” that come with his bipolar disorder.
The mother-of-four then cleared people who were close to West knew his heart. They understood that his words did not align with his intentions some times.
Kim praises her husband despite his tirades
Kardashian still praises West despite his claims and tirades against her. She tried her best to explain his situation and how he managed to pursue his dream continuously.
“Living with bipolar disorder does not diminish or invalidate his dreams and his creative ideas, no matter how big or unattainable they may seem to some,” her statement continued. “That is part of his genius, and as we have all witnessed, many of his big dreams have come true.”
The mother-of-four mentioned that people often talk about mental health issues and awareness today. So, she is asking everyone to also give grace to individuals who have it.
She even understands that her husband needs it now the most.
“I kindly ask that the media and the public give us the compassion and empathy that is needed so that we can get through this,” Kim Kardashian ended her note.
