Kim Kardashian revealed that people warned her that her celebrity status might plummet if she works with President Trump.
For years, Kim has been paying visits to the White House to work with Trump.
For instance, she famously convinced him to commute Alice Johnson’s sentence. The convicted great grandmother once faced a life sentence, but it has finally been reduced because of Kim.
The KKW Beauty mogul sat for an interview with David Letterman on the Netflix series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.
Kim explained that her passion for criminal justice reform is more than a political deed during her appearance.
“Hopefully, for the next multiple administrations, I’ll be working with the White House, helping them with clemencies,” she said, per The Daily Beast.
In return, the host questioned what Kim feels about working with the president while celebrities criticize his administration.
Kim then revealed that everyone reminded her that her reputation would be done once she steps inside the White House.
Throughout her partnership with Trump, she never said a single bad word about him. She also never states who she will support in the upcoming election, especially when her husband Kanye West is running, too.
Letterman still tried to make her say a political stance. However, she just kept saying, “I understand that” in every statement that the host says about the president.
“But see, your good work is overwhelming,” the host said. “It’s a positive force that diminishes what I consider to be unacceptable behavior by the president.”
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star then chose to express her gratitude toward the administration instead of working with her. Since criminal reform is close to her heart, she felt more inspired in studying law.
Kim has been vocal when it comes to the risk she could face as she involves herself with President Trump.
In her previous interview with CR Fashion Book, she disclosed that she wanted to become a good example for her kids. That reason pushes her to become more motivated in activism.
“I’m raising four Black kids in this society and our system is so discriminatory against black and brown people,” she went on. “I want to do as much as I can to make their lives easier.”
