Kris Jenner spoke up about “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” again. This time, she even blamed something that, reportedly, triggered them to end the series.
After 14 years, Kris Jenner let go of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. However, she is not moving on with a light heart.
The Kardashian-Jenner clan matriarch recently hailed as the cover of WWD’s sister publication, Beauty Inc.
During the same interview, Kris talked about a lot of things about the family — especially the bombshell ending of KUWTK.
Per the matriarch, the internet has to be blamed for closing the curtains of the series after 14 years. However, the same platform helped the whole family to reach where they are right now.
She went on to explain that the urgency of social media these days is more extensive these days. She also noted that a lot of things changed over the last 14 years.
Thus, it eventually became the main reason why KUWTK is now leaving TV.
“When we first started, there was no Instagram or Snapchat or other social media platforms,” she recalled. “The world has changed. Now there are so many, the viewer doesn’t have to wait three or four months to see an episode.”
Kris also said that since the internet emerged, they were able to give away information to anyone in real-time.
Although she blames it for bringing the show to an end, it is actually the same reason why their family’s empire grew. Still, as of the writing, they use the internet to advertise their businesses.

What social media brought to Kardashian-Jenner
Finally, she also took the time to acknowledge the power of social media. In her experience, their consumers quickly see her daughter’s products. This helps their businesses grow more rapidly compared to the last few years.
“The girls want them to be part of the journey to keep them engaged,” she said of the internet.
Aside from KUWTK, social media indeed strengthened their connection to their followers. In fact, each one of them has millions of followers.
Currently, Kylie Jenner has 198 million followers. Kim Kardashian West (190 million followers), Kendall Jenner (140 million), Khloe (122 million), Kourtney (102 million), and Kris (36.9 million) also enjoy the same perks.
Kris to make her own brand one day
During the same interview, Kris also talked about her plans on launching her own Kris Jenner beauty brand.
“I think I’m a bit busy right now… I’ve always dreamed of having my own brand, so we’ll see. I’m going to keep it to myself,” she hinted.
