Kylo Ren might have met his end in the last Star Wars movie, but a new report reveals plans to revive the character. Lucasfilm is developing another movie or perhaps a TV show around the former Supreme Leader.
Lucasfilm is reportedly aware of the popularity of Kylo Ren. Fans are also curious about his backstory as Ben Solo, the son of Han Solo and Princess Leia before he turned and joined the Dark Side.
Corey Van Dyke of Kessel Run Transmissions posted on Twitter about Lucasfilm’s plans, saying that the project centering on Darth Vader’s grandson is “definitely being worked on.” However, it’s still unclear if the movie or TV series will cover Kylo Ren’s time before Star Wars: The Force Awakens or after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
The tweet implied that the project is still in its early development, meaning lots of things may change or, worse, not move forward.
We’ve heard Ben Solo is a character Lucasfilm wants to further develop. We don’t know if this is a series or movie, but it’s definitely being worked on. We also don’t know if this is pre TFA or post TROS, but if I were to guess I’d say pre TFA. Again, this is in early development. pic.twitter.com/XP5ALD7yVG

Adam Driver talks Ben Solo
Shortly after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’s release, Adam Driver, the actor who plays Kylo Ren, spoke about bringing his character — or the alter ego, Ben Solo — back to the franchise. In the French magazine Le Matin, the actor said that he does not aspire to do Ben Solo anymore.
“This experience will forever remain one of the highlights of my career, but I aspire to other adventures,” Driver said.
The actor also intimated that he wanted to play the villain Kylo Ren as a human being. He believes that he was able to achieve this, as well as elicit compassion for his character despite making bad choices.
The mythology of "Star Wars" is so vast that Kylo Ren could easily return to other films or a TV series. What do you think?

Mark Hamill also returning to Star Wars franchise
The news also comes amid rumors that Mark Hamill is in talks to return to the Star Wars universe. The actor has previously stated he’s done with the franchise.
According to rumors, Hamill signed on and allowed Lucasfilm to use his image and likeness for computer-generated imagery of Jedi master Luke Skywalker. An upcoming project will require shaving off several years to the actor to make his character younger.
This plan might open doors for the expansion of Kylo Ren/Ben Solo’s back story. In The Force Awakens, fans learned that Ben trained to be a Jedi under his Uncle Luke as a child. Hence, Hamill might be back in the franchise as a 30 or 40-year-old Luke, helping Ben learn the ways of the Force.
