Lady Leshurr confirms that she’ll be joining the show Dancing on Ice in 2021.
English singer-rapper Lady Leshurr hails as the latest star to join the show Dancing on Ice. Leshurr confirmed the news on the Kiss Breakfast radio show along with last year’s runner up Perri Kiely and Jordan Banjo.
While on the show, the singer stated, “Oh my gosh I don’t what I’ve got myself in for, but everyone knows me to be that person to just throw myself in at the deep end, and I just wing it a lot of the time.”
Moreover, Leshurr is the tenth star to signup on the show. Other additions like Myleene Klass, Denise Van Outen, Faye Brookes, Jason Donovan, and Rebekah Vardy announced the news yesterday.
Secrets against her friends and family
While on the radio show, the rapper stated that she is petrified about the performance but backed her nervousness by saying she is looking forward to showcasing her skills in front of millions.
Last year’s runner-up, Kiely, was very quick to advise her by asking to enjoy the time while she is on the rink. He jokingly said by informing Kiely that she will include him in music videos if she ever decides to film them while on ice.
The matter led Leshurr to took on her Instagram account as she shares her excitement by saying she has always wanted to skate. Leshurr believed that it is better to learn by forcing herself into something she could not escape.
The interview went on with the singer added that it would be exciting to learn a new skill even if it means putting on a show in front of her friends.
Later on, Leshurr revealed that she wants to keep the vast news a secret from her family. Saying that this is how she likes to do things, she enjoys her family to witness her on TV first before confirming her appearance.
Stepping on to stardom
When questioned by Perri and Jordan whether she skated before, Leshurr answered that she tried the sport once or twice as a child but would get scared looking at others doing it.
The 30-year-old contestant, originally named Melisha Katrina O’Garroo, is known as a mixtape artist, rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer. Her famous works include Queen’s speech freestyles and Wonky. She also worked alongside stars like Nicky Minaj, Lil Nasty, Labrinth, and Stormzy.
In the year 2018, she paired up with Olly Murs for a performance on the X-Factor.
