Laverne Cox has been keeping herself busy despite the pandemic quarantine. And when asked about her dating status, she reveals that she’s happy.
Laverne Cox is best known for her role as Sophia Burset on the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black.
Aside from that, she is the first openly transgender person to be nominated for a Primetime Emmy award in any acting category.
Her phenomenal acting skills and LGBTQ+ advocacy really caused her to rise to prominence in the entertainment industry.
That’s why when asked about who’s currently keeping her inspired, she revealed the real deal about her quarantine relationship status.
Is Cox dating anyone?
In a Zoom interview with Access Daily, the Can You Keep A Secret actress was asked by Scott Evans and Kit Hoover about her current dating status.
It turns out that Laverne Cox is happily single at the moment. She isn’t with anyone during the quarantine period but it doesn’t bother her at all. In fact, she expressed that she’s loving it.
“I am still single and some days I’m happy about it and some days I’m like wow you know it’s deep I really love myself, you know I just turned 48 years old this is what 48 looks like with good lighting and I love myself more than I ever have in my entire life,” she said.
Cox also said that should there be a man in the equation, then it’s great. But if not, she believes that it’s “God’s will.”
She also joked about “trying to maintain a relationship in quarantine.”
“I’m really happy that I’m single right now and I don’t have to deal with anyone else right now and take care of anyone else.”
She is currently prioritizing self-care, which she believes is very crucial and important for her. At the moment, she is enjoying not having to worry about cultivating a relationship or anyone else but herself.
Her last relationship was with Kyle Draper, CEO of Mateo Sound. They dated back in 2017. And though they were passionate about their relationship, they eventually split up in June 2019.

Cox may be currently dateless but her career is flourishing. According to Q News, she has been working with Netflix for a new documentary wherein she is an executive producer.
