Lea Michele deactivated her Twitter account on July 11 amid co-star, Naya Rivera’s disappearance.
Lea Michele has received tons of criticisms these past few weeks following her co-stars’ revelations about her “attitude.” After making a statement about George Floyd’s death, Samantha Marie Ware slammed her for making her first “gig” in the industry a “living hell.”
This started a wave of backlash against the Glee star. Reports then added that several of her previous co-stars also came out to speak about their bad experiences with Michele.
Despite all the accusations, Lea Michele apologized for her “behavior” and for the “pain” that she has caused. The actress released a lengthy statement on her Instagram account, according to Cheat Sheet.

Naya Rivera’s disappearance
On July 8, several headlines shocked the world, especially the avid Glee fans. As it happened, Lea Michele’s co-star, Naya Rivera, went missing at Lake Piru after she and her four-year-old son went for a boat ride, as per BBC.
The actress’ son was found asleep on that day. When asked about his mother, he reportedly told police that “she never returned.”
Amid the tragic news, several Glee stars shared hopeful statements in search of the actress. But, some netizens reportedly noticed that Lea Michele did not post anything about her co-star’s disappearance.
They allegedly “bullied” her
Three days following Rivera’s disappearance, Lea Michele reportedly deactivated her account on Twitter. This is because of the alleged “bullying” that had happened to her from some netizens, according to E! Online.
As explained, many people reportedly blasted her on her social media posts stating that it “should have been” her, who went missing, instead of Naya Rivera. No actual comments have surfaced following the deactivation. Nevertheless, some netizens revealed that this was the reason why she deactivated her account.
Fans of Lea Michele then reportedly went on to call out those who blasted and bullied her in relation to Rivera’s tragic disappearance. Some even pointed out that her co-star’s tragedy is not her fault. Although she “behaved badly” in the past, this had nothing to do with Naya’s disappearance, one fan explained.
