Fortnite is getting yet another collaboration with AMC’s The Walking Dead, if leaked data is to be heeded.
The battle royale game previously featured some contents based on TWD when it released Daryl and Michonne skins. Only two of the many in the list that individually could see representations in the popular shooting game. Negan, Rick, Maggie, and Carol being would-be likely inclusions as series favorites, but ultimately didn’t materialize.
Data Implication
However, as the TV series is about to hit its final season, it seems that it’s collaborating with Fortnite anew. And like any previous partnership with the game, this will entail additional contents into it. According to popular leaker HYPEX, that might indeed be the case.
There's *supposed* to be another Walking Dead collab for the new season releasing next month.. A glider is already in the works and it looks like it will have torches/fire on it, and its also probably why they didn't bring other iconic characters in the first collab.

Digging through the Fortnite’s recent contents, HYPEX claims that a glider that has “torches/fire on it” is currently in development. Clearly, referring to aesthetics with a post-apocalyptic nature to it, which does perfectly fit The Walking Dead. In addition, the leakster also states that the second collaboration was probably reserved for those other prominent series characters mentioned earlier. Hence, why they did not make appearances with the initial and now-foregone event.
Efficient Marketing
Looking at it from the marketing perspective, it does make sense as to why a two-part crossover would take place. With the TV series about to kick off its finale, doing another tie-up would serve as impeccable marketing to maximize viewership. Essentially, a way for the franchise to make its wave of goodbye to a larger audience. It even comes with the potential of attracting new viewers as a result of exposure in the gaming scene. Because, more often than not, it’s pre-occupations like video games that also takes the cut from potential viewership.
Meantime, as The Walking Dead’s season finale is launching on August 22nd, any potential modification signifying the crossover is likely by next week. That is, in anticipation of fresh contents to come, even before Epic makes an official word about them.
Bucketful of Salt
It is worth noting, however, like any instance of datamining, a forecast of this nature is uncertain. At the end of the day, the final changes are still within the hands of Epic. And it could twist or alter things from the starting ground in the way that it can as necessary. As such, and as usual, the prediction stated must be taken with a bucket of salt, rather than be taken as sure.
