Apple iPhone 12, new iPads, and more new devices are expected at this year’s event launch. Leaker Jon Prosser says it will be in October.
It feels like a million years before we get our hands on the next iPhone 12 due to the global pandemic. But Jon Prosser, a well-known leaker, somewhat predicted that the launching of the upcoming iPhones and iPads would be in October.
On Wednesday, Jon Prosser revealed that Apple would release the iPhone 12 models and new iPads in the 10th month of this year. Apple usually launches its new lineup of devices every 9th month of every year, which is September. But due to the global health crisis, we can expect delays on the launch date.
Qualcomm also announced that there would be some delays to one of its 5G partners this year, which is Apple. Yes, that is right. Apple is planning to insert 5G Chips into all iPhone 2020 models, and they intend to use Qualcomm.
The safest way to say that October will be relatively the launching month based on the gist of Qualcomm’s statement that the delay will not take that long. We can also say that they might launch it by September and will be available in October.
What can we expect from this year’s iPhone 12 and iPads?
Leaker Jon Prosser predicted that there would be a new iPad this year but did not dwell on which iPad will have a makeover. Recent rumors suggest that the iPad Pro will have a mini-LED display. The device is now in the works, and we are not quite sure when it will be launched.
Only the iPad Pro got a makeover this year. However, when it comes to other models such as the iPad Mini, we haven’t seen any enhancements over the past few years. This is also the same as the low-cost iPad and iPad Air. But based on the rumors, we can expect a revamp very soon.
There are also rumors circulating that Apple is currently working on an 11-inch iPad Air. It comes with a full-screen display and a Touch ID under-display. If this were achieved, it could be dubbed one of the great hauls in the lineup.
How accurate is Jon Prosser?
Jon Prosser, a well-known Apple plan leaker, predicted most of the company’s plans with mixed accuracy. He also shared some of his bizarre predictions and known for suggesting that Apple is renaming its iPhone to iPhoneOS.
He also claims that Apple is working on a heritage edition of Steve Jobs eyeglasses, naming them Apple Glasses patterned with what Steve Jobs wore. Earlier this month, he also suggested that a new iMac be released in August.
