LeBron James expressed disapproval over the judge’s decision to allow Lori Loughlin to choose her prison.
Lori Loughlin can stay in the prison of her choice, but LeBron James is not happy about that.
“I’m laughing cause sometimes you have to, just to stop from crying,” King James said upon seeing the article about Loughlin. Maybe he still wanted to say more. But the fact that the actress gets to choose her prison sent people speechless.
King James expresses his disappointment
On Friday, LeBron took his dismay on Instagram and expressed his disappointment toward Loughlin’s sentence.
The Los Angeles Lakers star shared a screenshot of a Vanity Fair article about the latest update in Loughlin’s legal battle.
“Don’t make no damn sense to me. We just want the same treatment if committed of [the] same crime that’s all,” LeBron James wrote. “We’ll just keep pushing forward and not expecting the handouts! STRONG, BLACK & POWERFUL!”
This followed the judge’s announcement this week that the controversial actress will serve her two-month sentence in prison near her home. The decision came after she pleaded guilty for the crimes she committed in the college admissions scandal.
Loughlin will “be designated to a facility closest to her home in CA, preferably the camp at FCI Victorville, if commensurate with the appropriate security level.”
The Root of LeBron’s Rant
The post echoed on the racial disparities in the U.S.
In August 2020, the basketball superstar garnered praise and criticisms after joining the protest over Jacob Blake’s death. The 29-year-old African American man died after a police officer shot his back seven times.
The incident caused massive movement and even halted the NBA playoff games for three days.
Hollywood Stars, Personalities Supported LeBron
While the “Black Lives Movement” continues to scream justice, several personalities left comments on LeBron’s post to show support.
Most of those celebrities and public figures pointed out how Loughlin’s set-up is unfair.
“yeah that sounds about white, I have never [heard] of that before. You going to jail but pick anyone you want to go to. LOL this is so fucked up,” rapper 50 Cent said.
Actress Viola Davis also added “Whaaaaat???!!! Uh… is it punishment if you get chose? Is she going to chose her meal program, too??!!”
Currently, Loughlin already received a registration number while preparing for the possible transfer. Authorities also demanded her to surrender to the correctional institution not later than 2:00 PM on Nov. 19, 2020.
