Highlight’s Lee Gikwang shares how the military changed him as a person and talked about the group’s 11th debut anniversary.
Change of lifestyle
He talked about the change of lifestyle he experienced after entering the military. After living in such a rule-based, dynamic life, scheduled life for the first time, he felt awkward, and as if he lost all his energy.
However, it became a time where he could reflect more on himself. Even though it was not some dramatic changes, he thinks that his attitude and thought-process on life shifted slightly.
Not what you expect in the military
Lee Gikwang also shared his thought on how his career is remarkable and not himself as a person. While he is a celebrity in a place where people know about him, the military is the other way around.
Moreover, as Highlight recently celebrated their 11th debut anniversary, he shared that there was not anything special that day. They talked about themselves and how they have done so well.

Lee Gikwang up for tour
They wanted to go on tour after the COVID-19 is over. Gikwang thinks that it would be the happiest memory for all of them.
They miss preparing for concerts, meeting fans on stage, and getting some time with the staff members after the show.
If it were not because of the pandemic, Highlight would have been in a concert right now. The group set plans already earlier this year.
Although Dongwoon, Yoseob, and Lee Gikwang experienced solo concerts, they think of Doojoon, who did not have his solo concert.
Gikwang felt regretful, so he wanted Doojoon to set a solo concert as soon as the military discharge him from his mandatory service.
He proposed to Doojoon that he should hold a year-ender concert as a group, which will mark their overseas tour.
