Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 trailer teases the new adventures of the ever-popular duo, Link, and Zelda. Moreover, the trailer showed a glimpse of a new powerful enemy.
The official announcement of the sequel was presented during the E3 2019 Nintendo Direct event. Nintendo has revealed that the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is now in development. True enough, dedicated fans are now anticipating the release of the action-adventure game.
About the game
When the original game hit the shelves in 2017, it immediately acquired massive praise and success. Fans were very much entertained for hours because of the game’s open-world environment, and intricate gameplay.
Furthermore, players have kept on playing the game to master their skills. At the same time, players wanted to uncover all the secrets of the Hyrule Kingdom.
Although Nintendo has not provided any information on the story yet, the trailer suggests that Zelda and Link will have to investigate spirit energy inside the Hyrule Castle. The dark energy may spread throughout the kingdom.

Others have also claimed that the sequel might be tied to The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. However, Zelda’s producer, Eiji Aonuma, debunked this speculation. While Breath of the Wild 2 has a darker plot, it does not have a direct connection with Majora’s Mask.
The trailer has revealed that Zelda and Link will be facing powerful enemies, corrupted by the evil spirit energy.
Breath of The Wild 2 setting
Just like the original game, Zelda and Link will return to the Hyrule Kingdom. The game’s developer wants the players to explore the game’s setting on a deeper level.
As seen in the trailer, Zelda and Link found themselves inside Hyrule’s castle. Thus, it’s safe to say that a portion of the game might take place in the Hyrule Kingdom.

Release details of the sequel
Nintendo has not yet discussed the release date for the sequel. Furthermore, it is still too early to tell since the game is still in development. As seen in the previous game release patterns, Nintendo has launched Zelda games every three years on consoles. Thus, fans may need to wait until March 2021 or October 2022 for Nintendo to release the game’s sequel.
