The Lenovo Legion gaming phone is already gaining significant traction. Its latest leak suggests a relative headline-grabbing launch is on the horizon.
The Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone must be the most talked-about, upcoming gaming phone. And while it has been very much in the grapevine since Lenovo’s first teasing earlier in 2020, the phone’s key details have never been on the aggressive side.
That is all going to change today.
Lenovo Legion gaming phone is one for the “landscape users”
A detailed report from XDA revealed that the upcoming gaming phone would arrive with a side-mounted pop-up camera. The report, which is accompanied by screenshots of the gaming phone, also showed the phone’s several key design cues.
It is crucial to note that pop-up camera feature has not been attempted yet both in the mobile gaming niche and those phones under the “vanilla” category.
Touted as the most ingenious part of the phone’s upcoming design, the elevating selfie snapper could also be developed for modern streamers. In 2020, most gamers are now enamored on live-streaming their gaming progress.
With the new camera feature, it is clear that Lenovo has designed the device entirely with landscape usage in mind. Alongside the motorized pop-up camera, the phone is also pegged for a second USB Type-C port.
The Lenovo Legion gaming phone’s 64MP and 16MP cameras could also be geared for the said mode. This is especially true as both sensors are placed in the middle of the handset’s back panel instead of the cameras’ usual placement towards the top of the panel. Their locations should also entail that your fingers won’t be covering them when the phone is in landscape mode.
The Lenovo Legion gaming phone also supports some optimizations that are geared for landscape mode. For instance, the handset’s lock screen can be viewed in landscape orientation, a feature that hasn’t been tackled by its compatriots that mostly yet.
A standard gaming package
The newly-unearthed details surrounding the Lenovo Legion gaming phone should only propel the forthcoming phone to a whole new level of anticipation.
The phone has already been rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chipset. The device is also set to bring a massive 5,000mAh battery and UFS 3.0 storage under its wing. Finally, the handset is likewise slated to bring a high display refresh rate, which is rumored at a staggering 144Hz.
The gaming phone is also tipped to offer support for 90W fast wired charging over USB Type-C. A gaming-grade OS is also in the mix.
The pricing and availability of the Lenovo Legion gaming phone are yet to be revealed.
