With the LG Virtual Exhibition coming this September 1, they have recently unveiled an air-purifier that people can wear.
While other companies try to innovate, especially when it comes to portability, LG Electronics has impressed the masses once again as they will give new meaning to clean air with the introduction of PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier at IFA 2020.
Although LG did not mention the device as a solution to combat COVID-19 in their press release, it’s a promising solution that they plan to address, especially for the medical frontliners.
Last July, as per The Korea Herald, LG has teamed up with Severance Hospital in Seoul by donating 2,000 units of the electronic mask.
A portable air-purifier that packs a punch
The PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier packs two H13 HEPA filters, similar to the filters used in the company’s home air purifier products.
“Employing LG’s latest advancements in air purification, high-performance replaceable filters enable PuriCare Wearable to supply fresh, clean air indoors and out,” LG promotes.
The mask also has built-in Dual Fans, which allows users to take in clean, filtered air while their patented Respiratory Sensor detects the cycle and volume of the wearer’s breath and adjusts the dual three-speed fans accordingly.
In addition, the device also includes an efficient and lightweight 820mAh battery that offers up to eight hours of operation in low mode and two hours on high usage.
President of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company Dan Song expressed excitement over the new product as he added:
“At a time when consumers are seeking ways to make life safer and more convenient, it’s important that we’re able to offer solutions that add measureable value.”
As LG prepares for their PuriCare showcase, it looks like they are pushing forward with providing ground-breaking clean air solutions adding this portable air-purifier in the mix.
