The LG Q92, purported to be LG’s another mid-range phone on the horizon, is tipped to be the more affordable version of the LG Velvet 5G.
LG is adding a new “Q” smartphone in its portfolio, one that is set to pay homage to the resplendent LG Velvet 5G. This is evidenced by a new leak, courtesy of Abishek Yadav, who revealed that the South Korean tech giant is scheduled to release the LG Q92. He also leaked images and the phone’s specification sheet to prep us up until the handset’s eventual unveiling.
Homage to LG Velvet 5G
In terms of design, the images revealed that the LG Q92 would be adopting a flat LCD screen, with a punch hole placed at the top center, housing its selfie camera.
Meanwhile, the back of the phone is also shown to feature curved nuances, alongside a camera module that is home to four cameras. Perhaps the more revealing part here is the design of the said module, which is shaping up to be a distinctive one. Two large sensors can be gleaned from its, flanked by two smaller ones, and what appears to be the LED flash.
Rear quad cameras with 32MP selfie snapper
Accordingly, the quadruple-camera setup of the phone will comprise a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP depth module, and a 2MP macro camera. On the other hand, its selfie snapper inside the display cutout will house a large 32MP sensor.
LG is also tipped to be retailing the Q92 smartphone in three color variants – Ceramic White, Mirror Titanium, and Mirror Red. The phone is also set to measure 166.54 x 77.3 x 8.49 and will weigh 193 grams.
Still mid-range
Under the hood, the LG Q92 will be drawing its power from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G, which indicates that the phone will be 5G-enabled. The device is then set to be paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The LG Q92 is also listed with a 4,000mAh battery capacity. The phone is tipped to be launching with support for fast wired charging.
The leaked spec sheet also revealed that the phone would arrive with LG Pay and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. In terms of durability, the handset is confirmed to have also passed the US military standard test.
Other key features revealed in the spec sheet are the phone’s support for AI sound and stereo speakers. Now, while the leak didn’t say anything about its OS, it is expected to run Android 10 out of the box.
The LG Q92 is rumored to launch this August.
