Liam Hemsworth does not mind if Miley Cyrus references him on her new song, “Midnight Sky.”
Miley Cyrus’ latest hit seemed to be a shade about her ex-husband, but Liam Hemsworth seemed wasn’t bother at all. The 27-year-old singer and the Australian actor had been together for quite a while but ended up parting ways.
Hence, it was no surprise that their failed relationship seemed to inspire her songwriting.
Hemsworth not concerned of Cyrus
A source told HollywoodLife Hemsworth was never concerned about his ex-wife’s new song. However, he was sure it would be a big hit, just like her other music.
“He knows the name of the game and understands that Miley’s form of expression is through her music,” the insider explained.
In the song, Cyrus sang, “nine years went by with my hands tied up in your ropes,” which seemed to reference their decade-long romance.
“They have a long history and spent a huge chunk of their lives together as a couple,” the tipster continued. “That will never change, and he knows they learned a lot from each other through their relationship.”
Although Hemsworth has no plans to reach out to Cyrus, he wishes her all the best.
“He’s moved on with his life and is focused on his own career and relationships at this point,” the source concluded.

Hemsworth’s low opinion of Cyrus
Meanwhile, a different source told Us Weekly Hemsworth had a “low opinion” of Cyrus after all the hurt he experienced following their split.
Since their divorce, they hadn’t talked to each other that much. Allegedly, Chris Hemsworth’s brother was hurt by how fast she had moved on.
After their split, Cyrus quickly had a brief romance with Kaitlynn Carter, followed by another relationship with Cody Simpson, which recently ended.
Since then, Hemsworth leaned on his family for support.
“[He] has had the support of his family to help him move on,” the source revealed. “Liam has been trying to be as private as possible and respectful about their relationship and breakup.”
As a “very traditional, good guy,” he was upset by how things between them were made public.
In his interview with Men’s Health Australia, Hemsworth talked about his split with Cyrus.
“This last six months, honestly, for keeping my head level and just staying balanced, I’d say exercise has been big for me,” Liam Hemsworth revealed. At the time, he was rebuilding his life, and it was a good way for him to put it.
