Round8 Studio has unveiled its brand new IP, titled Lies of P, with an official trailer. The tale of Pinocchio inspires the game.
Speaking more specifically, then Lies of P will also remind players of RPGs such as Souls. Neowiz, along with Round8 Studio, is working on the project.
‘Lies of P’ announcement trailer details
The first reveal trailer gives out a lot of information for the yet-to-release game’s story.
Before Lies of P, Neowiz and Round8 Studio also collaborated on a past project called Bless Unleashed. It came early last year for Xbox and then later for PS4 as well.
However, the game didn’t turn out as expected since it failed to impress the critics and fans. There were multiple issues along with annoying errors.
Moreover, it also received poor ratings from significant review portals.
Now coming back to Lies of P, it looks very promising for a small but loyal fanbase created by Bless Unleashed.
Going by what its trailer has shown so far, then Round8 Studio might succeed this time!
The first actual footage reveals a prologue to the main story, keeping Pinocchio as the main character.
Contrary to the novel, however, the game shows Pinocchio as a puppet mechanoid. He tries to become a human in a city affected by a deadly plague.
Despite three minutes, there’s very little the clip offers for those interested in the title.
But its Steam page, on the other hand, provides additional information.
Lies of P is set in the fallen city of Krat, based on the Belle Époque era in Europe. And the full impact of the gameplay will depend on how better you lie.
Furthermore, there will be a complicated fighting system as well. It will give the players a unique ability to craft their weapon combinations.
More video games coming soon
Meanwhile, there are many new releases scheduled to arrive in this calendar for all the die-hard gamers.
But that’s not it!
The line-up extends further with Deathloop, New World, Humankind, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
Biomutant, Little Devil Inside, Psychonauts 2, GhostWire: Tokyo and Life Is Strange: True Colors are other crucial launches.
Coming back to Lies of P, again, it’s slated to launch in 2023 for PC, PS5, PS4, Google Stadia, and Xbox Series X.
