The new single of LiSA titled Homura, the theme song for Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, has been streamed over 100 million times since October 12.
Billboard Japan’s streaming song chart announced the new feat of LiSA for Demon Slayer. On Oricon’s weekly streaming chart, LiSA’s latest single had ranked #1 for six consecutive weeks. For five straight weeks, Homura becomes the first to maintain more than 10 million streams per week.
The staggering achievement of LiSA’s Homura
In just a month and a half, Homura on YouTube has streamed a total of 77 million times. This is with the song’s music video being streamed about 10 million times a week.
On Oricon’s weekly digital singles ranking chart, the song is the third-ever single to rank #1 for at least six consecutive weeks.
Other tracks that achieved the same feat are Kenshi Yonezu’s 2018 single Lemon and the 2019 single Uma to Shika.

Also, LiSA is the first female artist to accomplish this feat. During the November 16-22 week of Oricon’s digital singles ranking chart, the track has been downloaded a total of 574,458 times over six weeks. LiSA’s track logged a total of 52,422 downloads.
Homura is unstoppable
On October 14, the single Homura shipped and sold 68,000 CD copies in its first week. For three straight weeks, LiSA is the first artist to rank #1 in 12 years and ten months. This is since January 2008, after the band SMAP achieved the feat with their Dangan Fighter single.
The last single of LiSA titled Gurenge also became the third most-downloaded song in the history of Oricon’s digital single ranking chart in June.
The said track was the theme song for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba television anime.
The single immediately ranked on the top 10 rankings as of July for at least 27 consecutive weeks. In April 2019, for at least 44 weeks since the song’s digital debut, and has been in the top 10.
