Lori Loughlin could not wait anymore until Nov. 19 that she let herself enter the facility earlier than what the judge set.
A US Bureau of Prisons spokesperson confirmed that Lori Loughlin already entered the Federal Correctional Institution. For two months, the actress needs to stay inside the said facility in Dublin, California.
She and her husband, Mossimo Gianulli, both pleaded guilty in a college admission scandal.
The couple paid Rick Singer $500,000 to let their daughters enter the University of Southern California (USC) without a hassle.
Meanwhile, Loughlin already said that she does not want to let it be a headache until 2021.
“She’s mentally preparing for this. She wants to go in, do her time, and get out,” a source told People magazine. “She wants it to be as uneventful as possible, and she wants this to be a distant memory by 2021.”
Lori Loughlin prepared herself
The FCI Dublin has fewer inmates this time. Although it does not sound like a problem, Loughlin received warnings about her co-inmates.
As a result, she hired a prison expert and trained herself mentally, physically, and emotionally.
“Prison is going to be sink or swim and Lori doesn’t intend to sit back and take the abuse without a fight,” Radar Online’s source reported.
When she pleaded guilty, she said during a Zoom appearance that she felt regretful over her actions. She also repeatedly said she is sorry while trying to hold back her tears.
“I have great faith in God, and I believe in redemption and I will do everything in my power to redeem myself and use this experience as a catalyst to do good,” she went on.
Broken Hollywood dreams
Loughlin has been a well-known actress for 40 years. But due to the college admission scandal, she lost it all in a snap.
Before living her Hollywood dreams, the actress’ family, reportedly, “lived paycheck-to-paycheck.”
According to her representative, she failed to go to college due to financial problems. However, she could not let her children experience that.
As a result, she got involved in the scandal that ruined her career forever.
Meanwhile, before Loughlin, Felicity Huffman also entered the same correctional facility in Dublin for 11 days. The “Desperate Housewives” star also infamously got involved in similar crimes.
As of the writing, Lori Loughlin and her family have not released an official statement yet.
