Apple is planning to announce a redesigned version of the MacBook Air with a 13.3-inch mini LED display in the middle of 2022.
This statement is according to a new investor note from reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Before this also, Kuo has predicted a lot of new stuff about MacBook Air, but this time, a more specific timeframe is mentioned.
It also suggests that the new MacBook Air will have a smaller display size than the usual 14- or 16- inch MacBook Air Pro. MacBook Air Pros are said to get launch before the end of this year.
Mini LED is significantly a new version of display technology. It is designed to offer some of the benefits of OLED screens– to name a few, better contrast levels and enhanced dynamic range. There won’t be any risk associated with burn-in.

What changes are being made to the new MacBook Air?
The mini LED display made its debut this year on Apple’s 12.9 – inch iPad Pro. Previously, Kuo has listed around half a dozen Apple devices that will migrate towards the new display screens as soon as possible.
Following are the names of those devices which are scheduled to migrate:
a 27-inch iMac Pro, 14.1-inch MacBook Pro, 16-inch MacBook Pro, 10.2 iPad, and 7.9 – inch iPad Mini.
According to Kuo, Apple usually includes more premium displays because of the cost-savings linked with using its silicon. However, the mini LED display is better for contrast level, dynamic range, greater control over local dimming, better brightness, and better black levels.
Along with this new display technology, the upcoming MacBook Air will also have a MagSafe charging facility. Thus, making it more precise and easy to use the laptop. In addition, the new MacBook Air will also have a thinner and lighter design frame.

Additionally, there will be two USB 4 ports. Overall, these specifications will make the laptop more efficient and usable, providing a major enhancement in its functioning. Previously, Bloomberg reported that the successor of the M1 processor would be powered by the new MacBook.
With this, the new chip is said to have the same number of CPU cores but at a faster running speed and increased number of GPU cores. As of now, the current M1 processor has seven or eight GPU cores. But the new models will have around 9 to 10 GPU cores.
The advancement of the above modifications in MacBook Air will surely bring a great surge in demand.
