‘Magia Record’ Season 2: New trailer, official release date revealed!

Iroha Tamaki will surely be back in Magia Record Season 2. The franchise has officially announced the second season’s coming, along with an official release date.

Studio SHAFT earlier revealed the new season would be part of the summer 2021 release, so the long wait would be soon over. In addition, a new Magia Record Season 2 trailer has dropped and teased what fans are about to see next.

New Trailer, Update and Other Major Details

According to Comicbook, the new season will officially bear the title Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story 2nd Season – Eve of Awakening.

The 72-second preview features the series’ main characters as they are about to start a new journey. It then shows a series of intense turns of events that they all have to go through.

Of course, if several problems will arise, there will be fun times, too.

Magia Record Season 2 seems to take fans to another set of a roller coaster of emotions with its different kind of tale.

Elsewhere, according to Comicbook, the franchise also reveals the new season’s opening and ending themes.

ClariS will perform the opening song, titled “Careless,” while TrySail will sing the ending theme, called “Lapis.”

The latter tune is the same melody heard in the trailer.

The first season’s cast will also reprise their roles in the second season, along with the anime’s original crew.

New Movie Coming

Meanwhile, aside from Magia Record Season 2, Coming Soon noted the franchise’s 10th-anniversary celebration also announced the coming of a sequel movie.

Titled Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Walpurgis no Kaiten, it will be the follow-up to the film Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

The film is now in the works, though it is yet to reveal when it will be out.

First Season Synopsis and More

The anime’s first season aired on January 4 with 13 episodes based on the mobile game by f4samurai and inspired by the 2011 Puella Magi Madoka Magica series.

“In exchange for the fulfillment of a wish, Magical Girls keep fighting, unbeknownst to the rest of the world,” the official synopsis read. “But Iroha Tamaki can’t seem to remember her wish. “When I became a Magical Girl, what did I wish for again?”

Despite the gaping hole in her life, Tamaki continues to fight, though she has no idea why, per Ani Trendz.

“Something important has been lost,” the storyline reveals. “Then, a rumor begins to spread among Magical Girls.”

Magical Girls will only be saved if they go to Kamihama, where they and Uwasa will gather. From here, the story of Tamaki looking after her lost wish begins.

Magia Record Season 2 will be out on July 31. However, it remains to be seen what network it will stream outside Japan.
