Manifest is a supernatural drama series on NBC. It first premiered in 2018 and now it has finished two seasons already.
Season 2 finished earlier this year with a shocking twist. Fans who have been following the show from the beginning have been hoping for a renewal.
Fortunately, NBC has given the green light for Manifest season 3.
According to reports, NBC granted the third season just 10 weeks after the show aired its season 2 episode finale in April.
The order also followed after the 13-episode season 2 garnered an average of 7.7 million viewers. With that many viewers, it’s no surprise why the home network decided to bring in more episodes.
At the moment, there is no exact release date yet for the third run of the airplane mystery drama. But it’s expected to drop sometime next year.
If NBC follows the same release schedule, season 3 could be available in April or May 2021. This is still dependent on the show’s resumption of production though.
Social distancing restrictions are still being followed in New York City, where much of the show was filmed. If the pandemic situation continues to be a threat, filming may be delayed.
The main stars of the show are expected to reprise their roles for the new season. This means that Melissa Roxburgh and Josh Dallas will be back as the siblings Michaela Stone and Ben Stone.
Matt Long, who plays as Zeke Landan, is also expected to return as season 2 ended with his character emerging from death.
Zeke was a hiker who got trapped in a cave during a blizzard a year ago. But he’s alive and now the Stone siblings are going to even go deeper into trying to solve the mystery around flight 828.
Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, Parveen Kaur, Jack Messina and Luna Blaise are also expected to return.
Season 3 plot details are still kept under wraps. But as mentioned earlier, Zeke’s escape from death will most likely unveil more answers to the many questions surrounding the mystery.
It’s also expected to pick up the pieces after Saanvhi Bahl (Kaur) killed the Major (Elizabeth Marvel). As for the plane, it was revealed that part of it had seemingly been lying at the bottom of the ocean.
Dallas also dropped a hint on what’s coming up in the next season saying that the season 2 finale points to where the series will go next.
For more updates on Manifest season 3, fans will have to stay tuned.
