Mark Wahlberg dedicated one of his birthday posts to honor his late mother, Alma.
As Mark Wahlberg reached the 50th year of his life, the Hollywood actor took his chance to send a message to her mother.
On Saturday, Wahlberg shared a throwback photo of him and his mother to celebrate his birthday. The said picture shows the young actor supporting his brother Donnie while his mother dons a white dress.
“Miss you,” he captioned the post. He also took his time to thank his sister who arranged a massive happy birthday sign on his home.
Per Wahlberg, there is nothing more important than family.
Last month, he also penned a heartfelt message to send “happy birthday in heaven” wishes to his mother. He greeted her during this year’s Mother’s day on Twitter and Instagram, as well.

What happened to Alma Wahlberg?
In April, actors Mark and Donnie announced the passing of their mother. They refused to detail the real cause of death. However, multiple news outlets revealed in the past that Alma had been suffering from dementia.
This, reportedly, led her to face declined health quality in the past years.
In July 2020, Donnie addressed his mother’s issues and detailed that she was not doing better.
“I know that so many of you have asked how my mom Alma is doing,” he said. “During my visit, she didn’t remember much and was often confused, but somehow she was still Alma.”
Less than a year after that, Alma passed away, leaving her family’s hearts broken.
