Martin Freeman’s Ross to return in ‘Black Panther 2’

It should come as no surprise that most original cast members will possibly return in the yet-to-be-announced Black Panther 2 movie.

The latest actor to confirm his comeback is Martin Freeman. His character Everett K. Ross will make a return with Black Panther 2.

The sequel to 2018’s blockbuster is yet to start production.

‘Black Panther 2’ early details

Talking to Collider, in a recent interview, Martin Freeman revealed that Ross is coming back in Black Panther 2.

“Yeah, I am doing the second Black Panther,” he said.

“I’m going to be speaking to Ryan Coogler soon about what shape that’s going to look like.”

He added that currently, he has no idea about how the Black Panther 2 script will go on and what it will be like.

Freeman also mentioned Chadwick Boseman and how his death affected the sequel’s early stages of development. It was a massive setback for everyone.

According to him, there was an initial version of the story, but Boseman’s sudden and shocking demise changed everything.

“They had the script, and they were working on the script, and then Chadwick died, and [I] immediately thought, ‘Oh, okay, I could see a world where there’s no Black Panther then, because how can you do a Black Panther without Black Panther?'”

Martin’s first appearance in the MCU was in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. He played the role of a bureaucratic Everett Ross.

New MCU titles coming in the future

The biggest superhero cinematic universe is currently busy working on its next slate.

And it seems like it’s ready to come back to its previous release cycle. With WandaVision, arriving earlier this year, it looks possible as well.

Now, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the second MCU installment of phase four, will entertain the fans for the next month and a half.

Future months will bring multiple fresh contents from Marvel Studios for die-hard franchise lovers.

Some are Loki, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, and Secret Invasion when it comes to the most-awaited projects. The TV shows will release soon for streaming on the Disney+ platform.

However, that’s not everything.

On the side of movies, there is Spider-Man: No Way Home, Thor 4, Captain Marvel 2, and Blade, GOTG 3, Ant-Man 3, and Fantastic Four.

Back to Black Panther 2, it’s currently set to debut on July eighth successive year.
