“Daughter of Thor” lifts Mjolnir, becomes worthy!
Brigid, Thor’s daughter, has proved to be worthy. In the latest Captain Marvel #25, she wielded the Mjolnir of the God of Thunder. Carol Danvers is transferred to an apocalyptic future in the year 2052. There she teams up with several other superheroes.
And in this plot, the daughter of Thor, Brigid, becomes worthy of wielding the Mjolnir, just like her Asgardian father. In the new comic book, she summons the mighty hammer and eventually lifts it as well. Speaking of the Captain Marvel issue number 25, then it sees Carol dealing with a new crisis. All other heroes have fallen in the future, where she finds a group of survivors who warn her about Ove. The latter is the son of Namor, who’s now ruling the only paradise during the apocalypse, which is the New Atlantis.
Captain Marvel’s team is comprised of those made up of children of her typical timeline’s heroes. The group includes Spider-Woman’s son Gerry, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage’s daughter Dani Cage, and War-Machine’s daughter Carol Rhodes. Carol’s name comes from Danvers herself. But the most fantastic character introduced in this new storyline has to be Brigid, the daughter of Thor. Initially, she’s not willing to join the fight against Ove. But then she enters the battle grandly while becoming worthy.
The way Brigid appears right now might result in an extended journey of her in the Marvel universe. If all goes well, then in the future, a live-action portrayal may also show up in the MCU when it comes to a possible big-screen adaptation.
Coming back to Captain Marvel #25, it’s written by Kelly Thompson, Lee Garbett, Belen Ortega, Antonio Fabela, and VC’s Clayton Cowles.
