The hype behind Marvel’s Avengers is undoubtedly huge, and it seems like fans are going to enjoy a lot of content in the game. With a month left before release, the developers have begun detailing more of what the game has to offer.
Marvel’s Avengers will feature loads of content to keep players busy at all times. Apart from a campaign and many replayable missions, Crystal Dynamics has also included challenges to beat, as well as many cosmetics to collect. Just recently, the developers talked about these two key features in the game.
Community challenges
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, the developers first talked about community challenges. According to the developers, there will be a set of different challenges each month. The community will work towards finishing these goals to get a reward at the end of each challenge.
Since these challenges were made for the community to finish, we can expect these to be on a larger scale. For instance, it could be about beating 1,000 or more units of a certain enemy. Community challenges are made to ensure that players have something to work towards every time they play the game.

Cosmetics
This won’t be a superhero game if cosmetics or other costumes aren’t available for the playable characters.
In Marvel’s Avengers, cosmetics are different from the loot that affects stats. These solely affect the way the heroes look and nothing else. It is primarily to help players make their character’s appearances stand out against others in the game.
As per the developers, the cosmetic items in the game range from the common to legendary rarity. Obviously, the higher the rarity, the better the cosmetic looks. Most of the cosmetics will be based on previous comic book outings of the heroes, which should excite Marvel’s fans.
Cosmetics are unlocked in a variety of ways. Players can unlock them by playing through the story, purchasing them through the marketplace, and completing certain puzzles. Players would want to unlock as much of the cosmetics as possible if they want to make their favorite heroes stand out.
Marvel’s Avengers launches for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 4. The game will have free post-launch updates, which will include new heroes as well as a new campaign centered around them. The confirmed heroes so far include Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4 and Hawkeye for all platforms.
