Marvel’s Avengers is going to have free post-launch DLC, according to the developers. Aside from Hawkeye and the PlayStation 4 exclusive Spider-Man, what else is coming to the game after it launches?
The Marvel’s Avengers beta has just concluded, and players have finally gotten a glimpse of Crystal Dynamic’s take on the superhero team. However, it seems like there are more things the players got to see as some dataminers dove deep into the game’s files.
DLC possibly leaked
Fans have discovered a selection of unannounced characters for the upcoming game. The codes showed references to numerous heroes from decades worth of Marvel content.
The characters are Ant-Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Falcon, Mar-Vell, Mockingbird, Quake, Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk, Vision, Wasp, and Winter Soldier.
If the datamine is true, we will be getting all of these characters as free DLC for the upcoming game in the future. For now, the developers have confirmed that Hawkeye and Spider-Man are indeed coming.
Since the amount of DLC content is overwhelming, many gamers have decided to take the leaks with a grain of salt. They have instead speculated that the heroes are going to be a part of the game, but they are not necessarily going to be playable.
What comes with the DLC?
The developers have confirmed that the DLC content for Marvel’s Avengers will be large. Each of the DLCs will come with his or her campaign. To make the deal even sweeter, the post-launch DLC for the game will come at completely no charge, to the surprise of many.
Commonly, developers introduce a season pass that lets players access a selection of DLC once they launch. The DLCs could also be purchase separately. When the developers announced free post-launch DLC, the game was instantly under the radar of many.
The game is currently one of the most divisive games of 2020 so far. While others are praising it, others complain about the game’s combat and loot mechanics. Hopefully, the developers sort these issues out once the game launches.
Marvel’s Avengers launches for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this September 4. It is one of the most anticipated titles of next month. The game is currently getting mixed reception, but since what we have accessed so far is only the beta, there might be a few improvements once the full game launches.
