Within hours of releasing patch 1.8.0, Crystal Dynamics issued a warning on its primary Twitter account. It cautioned players of not updating to the latest version as its exposing users’ IP networks.
In its warning, Crystal Dynamics said that players should refrain from streaming Marvel’s Avengers gameplay at the moment.
As of now, the developing team is trying to solve the issue by looking into it.
Speaking of the nightmarish bug then it affected lots of players’ privacy. Viewers were able to see their IP networks very clearly.
Showing the IP addresses is a major violation of privacy. Moreover, it can be dangerous for streamers as there have been cases already related to serious acts against them in the last year or so.
One thing that’s crucial to note is that the issue in question, in Marvel’s Avengers, is happening only on PlayStation 5.
A fix may arrive soon, according to the developers.

Upcoming projects from Crystal Dynamics
While Marvel’s Avengers is facing serious problems, its developer and publisher are now working on the next big superhero IP.
Interestingly the upcoming game is also based on Marvel comics only. And it’s the Guardians of the Galaxy title.
The project made its debut during this month’s E3 event, in which it received a great response from the viewers. Compared to the Avengers, fans are hoping for attractive gameplay for this new IP.
GOTG showed the now famous and iconic cast comprising of Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot in its initial trailer. They will be going on an adventurous journey while facing various villains in their way.
When it comes to its chances of succeeding, few industry insiders believe that it will prove a lot.
Because the same team that’s working on it was behind Marvel’s Avengers, and the latter has not fared well since its launch in 2020.
Thus, it becomes obvious to suspect Guardians of the Galaxy‘s potential before it releases eventually in 2021.
Marvel’s Avengers is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.
