After witnessing a big launch last week, BioWare’s remastered trilogy, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, has received its first significant update.
The latest update, 1.02 for Mass Effect Legendary Edition, brings various fixes and improvements for multiple gameplay sequences.
The anticipated trilogy was released last week, on May 14th.
‘Mass Effect Legendary Edition’ update: What’s new?
The patch is about 11GB in its total size and is available for all platforms supporting the newest launch of the series.
Update 1.02 of Mass Effect Legendary Edition fixes a main issue regarding the launcher. It used to crash or become unresponsive on Xbox Series X while using any wireless headset.
However, this issue may still arise if players enable or disable their headsets in the launcher. A future patch will try to solve it, as per the official page of EA.
Iris shaders have improved as well. It will result in better interaction with light and ambient occlusion.
Here are all the important things fixed and resolved after the update for all the titles:

- Terrain textures are now improved.
- Issue fixed where kills weren’t tracking properly for achievements or trophies.
+ Mass Effect & Mass Effect 2
- Issue resolved regarding character code not showing up in the squad menu.
- Pre-rendered cutscenes receive improvements for decreasing occasional artifacts.
+ Mass Effect 2
- Lighting and shadows are better now in several cinematics.
- Few levels have received small visual, VFX, and rendering improvements.
- Minor text issues resolved regarding achievement.
+ Mass Effect 3
- Issue fixed where kills for achievements or trophies weren’t tracking correctly.

Upcoming games of 2021
Apart from the remastered trilogy for one of the best gaming series, there are many other fresh releases this year.
Speaking of fresh, then coming months will reveal lots of new heavyweights.
Some of the most-awaited potential blockbusters include Halo Infinite, STALKER 2, and Far Cry 6.
Horizon Forbidden West, the next Call of Duty entry, Dying Light 2, and GhostWire: Tokyo is also anticipated.
But that’s not it!
The colossal line-up extends further with the likes of Deathloop, Stray, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, and Humankind.
