Max Ehrich, allegedly, called off his engagement to Demi Lovato after the singer made him feel smothered.
According to Life & Style, Demi Lovato has a ton of insecurities. And learning that the filming for Southern Gospel has started just made her cling more to her former fiancé.
A source told the tabloid that Lovato asked Ehrich if she could accompany him during the filming. And the actor didn’t think this was a good idea.
“Max tried to explain to her that when he’s working, he really needs to concentrate, but she wasn’t having it. Demi doesn’t like not having Max by her side,” the source said.
Max Ehrich felt smothered by Demi Lovato
The insider also said that Lovato and Ehrich spent so much time with each other because of the quarantine. As such, they’re not, allegedly, used to being apart.
However, Ehrich was, allegedly, forced to snap out of his clinginess because he had to work. Unfortunately, Lovato seemingly got stuck at that moment.
“Friends of theirs say Max is feeling a little smothered, though. And when it comes to wedding plans, while Demi still wants to elope, Max now wants to wait. The buzz is that the wedding is on hold, indefinitely, the source said.
Rumors debunked
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. Demi Lovato and Ehrich didn’t call off their engagement because the latter felt smothered. In fact, it was Lovato that called off their engagement and not Ehrich.
According to more reliable sources, Lovato pulled the plug on her engagement after realizing that Ehrich could be using her.
Gossip Cop also debunked the tabloid’s claims. And the rumor-debunking site also busted Life & Style for some of the stories they recently published about the former couple.
Demi Lovato, Max Ehrich didn’t plan a star-studded wedding
For instance, they claimed that Ehrich and Lovato were planning a star-studded affair for their wedding. However, the exes didn’t even reach the point where they are planning their nuptials because they immediately called it off.
The same tabloid also claimed that Ellen DeGeneres offered her home to Lovato after the singer overdosed on drugs. Gossip Cop, reportedly, spoke with a source close to the situation. And the insider denied the claims.
DeGeneres may have offered ways to support Demi Lovato during that difficult time. But it never involved the comedian offering her home to the singer.
