Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, just revealed that Captain Marvel is not actually the strongest MCU character, because of it’s Scarlet Witch!
According to Cosmicbook, Feige recently did interaction with Empire magazine. And he clearly mentioned that Scarlet Witch is the most powerful and strongest MCU character in the present scenario. Interestingly, last year, he said that Captain Marvel is indeed the best among the universe’s rest.
In the present timeline of the franchise, Brie Larson plays Carol Danvers, and Elizabeth Olsen plays Wanda.
Captain Marvel vs. Scarlet Witch
It is astonishing to witness such a new revelation coming straight from the man himself, Kevin Feige! Because during the release of Brie Larson starrer Captain Marvel, he clearly touted her as the strongest in the MCU.
“If you look at the Infinity Saga, I don’t think any single person has gone through more pain and trauma than Wanda Maximoff. And no character seems to be as powerful as Wanda Maximoff. And no character has a power-set that is as ill-defined and unexplored as Wanda Maximoff,” he told the Empire magazine in a recent interaction. He was promoting the highly anticipated WandaVision Disney Plus series.
Additionally, he also said that no other character could explore superpowers like Wanda.
“So it seemed to explore that would be worthwhile post-Endgame. Who else is aware of that power? Where did it come from? Did the Mind Stone unlock it?”
Future MCU movies and TV shows
Meanwhile, speaking of the current Marvel line-up of everything it has to offer, there’s a lot to come. Next year will begin with WandaVision‘s arrival on Disney Plus. It will be the very first phase four content in the MCU. Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Black Widow, and Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings’ Legend will come next.
Late 2021 will witness the release of Eternals, and in December, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 might arrive as well. The latter depends totally on the finished shooting schedule if there’s no additional halt because of COVID-19.
Other properties in the next phase include shows like Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, and Hawkeye. Then there’s also the Nick Fury-based series that will possibly start shooting in mid-2021.
And then there are movie titles like Blade, Black Panther 2, and of course Captain Marvel 2, slated for future calendars. Any other details on these projects are not confirmed yet since production teams and cast members are yet to be finalized. However, it will happen soon since Marvel Studios has got a lot of MCU content to handle in the coming years.
