Meghan Markle will, allegedly, make her directorial debut very soon.
According to New Idea, the first project that Meghan Markle will be involved in is a movie about her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
A source claimed that Markle will make a movie out of Prince Harry’s memoir. So, whatever he will reveal in his book will be shown in the movie that Markle will direct.
“This has Meghan’s fingerprints all over it. Harry would never say no to her,” the source said.
Meghan Markle directing Princess Diana movie debunked
However, the tabloid’s claims couldn’t be more wrong. Prince Harry’s memoir won’t be about Princess Diana.
But since he will talk about his personal experiences, he would also share details from his relationship with his late mom.
So, if Prince Harry’s memoir won’t be about the Princess of Wales, Markle couldn’t necessarily use it as the backbone for her movie.
Rumors about Markle releasing a movie about Princess Diana aren’t new. In fact, this has been going around for months. However, this won’t happen anytime soon.
And if Markle were to produce a movie about Princess Diana, her husband would most likely be involved as well. After all, the Duke of Sussex knows the Princess of Wales best.
Princess Diana portrayed by Elizabeth Debicki in The Crown
Meanwhile, Princess Diana will be featured in The Crown Seasons 5 and 6. But unlike Season 4, the late royal will no longer be portrayed by Emma Corrin.
Instead, Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki has been cast for the role. And she is already being praised by fans because of her resemblance to the late royal.
The upcoming seasons of The Crown will also feature young Prince William and Prince Harry because the timeline for Seasons 5 and Season 6 will take place while Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s marriage is already falling apart.
Camilla will also be featured in the series more extensively compared to the last season because her affair with Prince Charles will be given emphasis.
The Crown Seasons 5 and 6 will premiere on Netflix sometime next year. The show’s release was pushed back because of filming delays brought about by COVID-19.
