In March, the 38-year-old returned to L.A. after they completed their royal duties and officially stepped back from their royal roles. They once lived in Tyler Perry’s mansion until they eventually buy their own in Santa Barbara.
A sweet welcome back home

The first official house of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle
When they eventually moved to California, they first stayed at Perry’s L.A. mansion. Allegedly, the couple wanted to give the area “a shot,” but the Duke of Sussex “hated being there.”
So, they bought their house, a $14.65-million villa, in Santa Barbara in June.
The 18,671-square-foot sprawling mansion was from the Russian businessman Sergey Grishin.
A source revealed to Us Prince Harry could have asked his father, Prince Charles, to contribute to the house’s cost, but he didn’t do so.
According to reports, the couple had also paid $9.5 million for the mortgage.
Allegedly, the sixth in line to the throne would feel he was “going backward” if he would ask for help from his family.
As excited new house owners, the tipster revealed they had big plans for their home.
They, reportedly, planned to convert one of the guesthouses into a full house, where Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, could live.
The former Suits star also planned to update some of its rooms, like the kitchen and Archie’s bedroom.
So, why does the couple choose Santa Barbara?
People reported Prince Harry and Meghan were looking for a “smaller community and a slower pace.”
They fell in love with the “charming little town” and saw the “ideal lifestyle” they were looking for here.
They loved that it was right on the coast with many places to hike, dine, and shop.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also believed they could give Archie a normal life here as much as possible.
