Did Harper Collins just cancel Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s upcoming biography called “Finding Freedom?”
Since their royal exit, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have already launched several projects in the United States. Amid the pandemic crisis, the Sussex couple was able to continue with some of their endeavors and initiatives.
It has been only a few weeks since the reports revealed their upcoming “tell-all” biography titled, Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family. Unsurprisingly, it immediately caught the eyes and attention of the public, especially royal experts and watchers.
Earlier this week, the pre-selling of online copies has already begun. As per the Daily Mail, it has become Amazon’s top “bestseller” just within 24 hours on the day it is made available for pre-order. However, some online placers reportedly experienced errors upon ordering the biography on the platform.
Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s tell-all biography “canceled” by Harper Collins
In a report released by Express UK, royal expert Dickie Arbiter reportedly took his concerns to social media after ordering the Sussex couple’s upcoming book. As shared, he received an email stating that his order had been canceled by the publisher.
With no knowledge of the whole debacle, he asked his followers if they had also experienced the same thing. Upon sharing the post, several individuals reportedly replied with an affirmative response.
The publication then went on to reveal that several netizens also received the same email. Some even reportedly admitted that they took it as a “hoax” before learning it was not.
An error with the listing
Amid the continued discussions on social media, co-author Omid Scobie reportedly replied to some of the concerns. As explained, there was “an error” with the listing on the platform. He did not, however, specify the reasons for the apparent error. But, he cleared out that should they “reorder” the book on Amazon, it will be “fine.”
The publication also went on to reveal that they reached out to the publisher of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s biography, Harper Collins. The same is also true for the platform, Amazon. However, both camps have not responded yet.
Later on, though, Omid Scobie reportedly explained to Dickie Arbiter that, “apparently,” Amazon had put the US Kindle listing on the UK site. Hence, this is why “they had to correct it.” In the end, he thanked the expert for his support toward Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s upcoming biography.
