Gayle King revealed that she reached out to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry following their tell-all interview with Oprah.
Weeks have passed since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sat down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey. But, despite this, controversies continue to develop these past few days.
The scope of issues has even become a lot wider when Gayle King revealed that the Sussexes gave her an update regarding the aftermath. She said that she talked to the Duke and Duchess on the phone after asking them how they were doing.
While the public gained an insight into the events because of the talk show host, a royal expert did not seemingly find it all appropriate. Ingrid Seward explained that this may even “cause real problems,” according to The Sun.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might cause “real problems”
Speaking to True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat, the expert explained how talking to Gayle King will likely spark more issues among the British Royals. She said that the family “hates” that their private conversations are being “repeated in any form to the press.”
Seward said that if Meghan Markle and Prince Harry continue to do so, as what they did after their tell-all, then this is “really going to cause a problem” among them all.
Gayle King reportedly talked to the Sussexes
Gayle King told CBS This Morning that Prince Harry has already had a conversation with the royals. He reportedly talked to Prince Charles and Prince William after the tell-all.
However, he and Meghan Markle revealed to the television personality that the communication was unproductive. Nevertheless, the pair noted that they were “glad” about starting a dialogue with the senior royals. As asserted, this is because they want healing to begin within their family.
A “severe betrayal of trust”
Following the reported disclosure of private details, a senior royal source discussed the matter to the Daily Mail. As stated, none of the British Royals, especially the seniors, will be “giving a running commentary on private conversations.”
Palace chiefs are reportedly “outraged” over the leak of information to Gayle King. They even branded the move as a “shocking breach of trust.”
Windsors and senior officials also allegedly see it as a “severe betrayal” on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s part. The source added, as well, that the “tattle” is unhelpful in hopes of rebuilding bridges. This dynamic makes sense as Queen Elizabeth emphasized in the official statement that they intend to address all the difficulties “privately.
